Every Big Leap report begins with an executive summary. Here's how to complete that section of the report:
Business Objectives: No change. Simply leave this language the same unless you feel otherwise.
Macro Strategy: Ditto. This language does not change either, unless you see a reason to make a change.
Highlights/Comments/Questions: Skip this section until you finish the report. Then come back and populate the highlights with any observations you have after looking at the data. As a general rule, this section should include 3-4 bullet points, highlighting noteworthy information from the report. Highlights might include:
- Your [social channel] page saw a significant increase in viewership during the previous month. Your content was seen XXX times, which represents a XX increase over the previous month. [See impressions widget for data]
- Fan engagement was particularly high this month on [social channel]. You had XXX people engage with your page by clicking, commenting, liking or sharing. That represents a XX increase over the previous month. [See engaged users widget for data].
- Changes have happened with [social channel] during the past month. We've got you covered. But we want to make you aware of the developments. Facebook has launched XXXX, which will do XXXX. Twitter has done XXXX, which will do XXXX. [See https://www.socialmediatoday.com/ for ideas.]
- We are seeing higher engagement with local images. We would love to have you send us any images of your business, your products or your staff. They don't need to be professional. In fact, sometimes amateur imagery performs best. Please send us any images that may help with your campaign.
- We just wanted to point out some interesting information about the demographics of your social media audience. Your marketing campaign seems to resonate most with [male/female]. We are acquiring the most fans from the XX-XX age bracket. [See lifetime likes per age and gender for data]
- Your marketing campaign was most effective on [social channel] this month, where your content was viewed XXX times. We would love to strengthen that campaign with an offer, special or product highlight. Any thoughts on a special that could help us attract more prospects this month? [See impressions on the social channel that performed best.]
- It was a strong month for fan acquisition. Your business gained XX fans this month, which represents an XX increase over the previous month. [See new page likes for data.]
- The most engaging post of the month was [describe post], which was viewed XXX times. The engagement rate on the post was XX percent, which compares to the industry average of 5.3%. Powerful piece of content.
- We experienced some month-over-month declines in [social metric] and [social metric]. Those will be points of focus for the coming month. However we saw gains in [social metric], which increased by XX.
As you complete this section, make sure there are no misspellings. Make the information is accurate. And make sure you aren't copying and pasting the business name from another account onto the this report.
