Social5

Sales commissions can be processed anytime after the new calendar month begins. As a general rule, we calculate commissions during the first week of the month, then pay our sales partners by the 15th. To calculate commissions, please follow the steps below.

1. Go to the Social5 backend at socialfive.net/user

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page until you see Developer Tools. This is option is only available to users with Developer-level access. Click Execute Script.

3. From the drop-down menu, click "Finalize Commissions." This will close out your last commission run. This is important. If you don't do this, the system will calculate a double commission.

4. Once you have finalized commissions, click Calculate Commissions from the same drop-down menu. The system will take approximately 1 minute to calculate commissions on all accounts in the Social5 system.

5. Now go back to the main screen of the Social5 backend and click the Commissions report from the middle column. 

6. Make sure the date range includes the date you calculated the commissions, not the last calendar month. Click 'Go.'

7. Copy and paste the values from that report into the commissions spreadsheet, attached to this Freshdesk solution.

8. Now process the two manual calculations. The first is a 1% commission for Dan Olson at Social PR Growth on the commissionable reveune for following sales partners, who he recruited. Each is marked on the spreadsheet under Group D in column H. You'll also find them under the Name Lookup tab. 

To calculate this commission, add the commissionable revenue for each of the sales partners found in column D. Now multiply it be 0.01. This will provide a 1% commission that can be manually added to his commission.

9. Now calculate the second manual commission. This is a 2.5% commission and 5% commission for Jeremiah Stettler on partnerships he established. Also, Mike Raiche as a 2.5% commission on partner deals he closes, even if another commissionable partner is involved. To calculate these commissions, go to the Social5 backend and click on the "Signups (csv)" report.

Now search for accounts under the label "Secondary Commission: Stettler (2.5%)" and "Secondary Commission: Stettler (5%)" with the date range set to full history. Do the same for Mike Raiche with the label "Secondary Commission - Raiche (2.5%)"

Click Download. Make sure to download the Stettler and Raiche reports separately or you won't be able to distinguish between their individual accounts.

This will show all accounts with a manual commission associated with them. You will find these accounts in the "Secondary Commission" tabs of the attached spreadsheet. Simply verify that all accounts are still active. Then add up the commissionable revenue for all accounts, multiply by either 0.025 or 0.05 depending on the label, and manually add that commission to Jeremiah Stettler's or Mike Raiche's commission payments. 

10. Now notify sales people that their commissions are ready to be viewed in their Social5 portal. All sales partners have access to a Social5 portal to view payments and commissions. You may use the following email template. Please send the email to all sales partners who will be receiving a commission.

11. Give sales partners 3-5 business days to review their commissions, then submit for payment.
