How to use the Business Hub (aka mobile suite)?

Here is some information that should help you learn how to use the business hub as well as be educated in helping customers use their business hub.

Link to access: Each account has a unique link. You can get the link to the customer's business hub in the backend system under the advanced tab and usually ends in .social5.net - example: http://companyname.social5.net 

You can also access the business hub by going to their preview tool/Social 5 App and then in the upper left hand side click on the dots and you'll be able to access the business hub.

FAQ's: Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Are the Business Hub,the mobile suite, and mobile business card all the same thing?

A. Yes, they are the same but there have been a couple different names over the years.


Q. In the Business Hub where it shows buttons to phone, email, Facebook, website, Twitter, and LinkedIn where does that information come from and how is it updated or changed?

A. That information generally comes from the backend system on the general tab. If that needs to be updated you can do that under the general tab in the backend system.


Q. How do you get a list of the emails addresses that have been added in the "Join our email list" section?

A. You'll go to the bottom of the screen and click the little gear icon to access the account settings. Once you're in that section go to the top of the page and click on tools. Under tools you can either download a CSV file of all the contacts you have added so far, but you can also upload new contacts. When uploading new contacts it must be a CSV file containing columns labeled as shown in the directions displayed there (first name, last name, full name, email).  A Social5 employee can access the backend system and under the contacts tab download a CSV list as well.


Q. What is the  v card or electronic business card that is referenced in the Business Hub? 

A. If a customer clicks on download it will download all the needed information to add to that customer's contact list in Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, or whatever system they use. 


Q. What do the email addresses who join the email list receive by joining?

A. There is a monthly email that goes out to all of the emails in the email list, as well as it cc's the customer for reference.


Q. Why are there years posted at the bottom of the Business Hub under archives? 

A. The blog posts will be saved there for later viewing and categorized by the year they were published to the business hub.


Q. Can you customize or change the color theme in the Business Hub? 

A. That is done in the backend system under the design tab and is generally handled during the onboarding phase, unless there are additional requests down the line due to logo changes or re-branding. 


Q. Can you change the background picture in the header? 

A.  You can change that in the backend system under the design tab and header section. 


Q. Can you share the Business Hub Quick User Guide with customers? 

A. Definitely, it's in an attachment at the bottom of this page.
