Facebook FAQ's

Q. Are Facebook personal pages the same as Facebook business pages?

A. No, they are not. Facebook personal pages are to connect with friends and family, while business pages are for businesses, brands, and organizations to interact with customers or discuss products and ads. In fact, using a personal page as your business page is against the Facebook terms and conditions.  Personal pages have "friends" while business pages have "followers who have liked for followed the page. Business pages can be used for advertising and pulling analytics for the business ads, but you cannot run ads on a personal page.

Q. Is there a specific login and password assigned the a business page?

A. No, the business page is set up by an individual who already has a personal page. The creator of the page is usually an administrator and can then grant shared access to other personal pages or partners of the business. This means that to access the business page you go to your personal Facebook page and then you can "switch" into business pages that you have been granted access to.

Q. Is there a way to get your personal page friends to become business page followers?

A. Yes, you can personally share the Facebook business page link on your personal page and you can also go to the business page and click on "Invite Friends" where you select who to invite from your friend list.

Some people do campaigns longer because they want to reach 5,000 or 10,000+ followers and those are great goals as well.

Q. Why would my Facebook page look different from when I last logged into my account?

A. Facebook is always trying to innovate and that means that the format and layout change from time to time. This could be the placement of a setting or the place where all settings are house, but it is normal for them to be moved into different placements as new formats are launched by Facebook/Meta.
